Video work

The challenge

The goal of this project was to scale an internal, in-person training—typically delivered on-site—into a hospital-wide employee training program. The course was part of a broader diversity training initiative, and the video linked here was one of several learning assets developed for the effort.

My role

I led the design and development of two videos—a short gender sensitivity video created for the program’s marketing efforts, and a longer introductory video that provided context for the training program. In collaboration with a subject matter expert, I developed the storyboards and scripts, and worked closely with Stanford's video department and an animation vendor to produce the final videos.

The results

The gender sensitivity training was piloted with a small group of frontline staff who work directly with patients in the gender clinic. Survey feedback from the pilot showed a 95% approval rate, and following the pilot’s success, the program was scaled to a larger group of nurses before rolling it out organization-wide.
